There has been a school in Chaddesley Corbett since the Middle Ages.
Chaddesley Corbett Endowed First School occupied the site next to St. Cassian’s
Parish Church, in the centre of Chaddesley Corbett village.
In 2004 Worcestershire County Council decided to change the Wyre Forest schools
from 3 tier to 2 tier.
This site could not accommodate the new primary school, due to its size and site
constraints. 9 potential sites for the new school were identified and a points score
system was used to determine a preferred site.
After extensive public consultation, a new site was selected, just outside the village.
Chaddesley Corbett Endowed Primary School serves the community between
Kidderminster and Bromsgrove.
It is located within an agricultural landscape sloping gently to the south west and
contained within a hedge boundary on three sides.
